A story of people full of passion

It all started 4 years ago with the meeting of Gerard Jambon - electrical engineer,  passionate in amplifier circuitry design - sharing his discovery with one of his colleagues at the Estaca Research Center (France) : Vincent Tamisier - PhD in Electrical Science and 2 patents -  passionate researcher in magnetic levitation applied to Gyroscopic motors and associated electrical control.

Gerard has allways been researching on signal transmission in particular to drive loudspeaker. His discovery was about a circuitry design that allows "a new approach of signal transmission to speakers, giving unsurpassed improvements in phase shifts, propagation errors and transient response".

Early in 2006, convinced by the approach, Vincent decided to create a company with Gerard, dedicated to develop applications for this technology on various markets  (sound... but also gyromagnetic control).  They were soon joined by Jacques Olivier Tamisier - a graphical designer with a passion for luxury products.

The first sound related patents were released in early 2008. By the end of 2008, some lab built amplifier prototypes were demonstrated to HiFi enthusiasts and respected specialists. They were so impressed by the potential of the technology, namely by the spectacular spatialization, dynamic resolution and bass rendering clarity, that for most of them they found it difficult to return to their existing amplifier equipment.

A tragedy occurred early in 2009, with the passing away of Vincent Tamiser, at the tender age of just 33 year old.






Jacques Olivier Tamisier never hesitated and stept in joined byVincent Legal - friend, former banker, shareholder and above all practical.

Soon after the team grew stronger with the support of Sylvain Richert - venture investment fund manager, also electrical engineer and among other things extreme HiFi enthusiast. He joined them to build a company dedicated to the HiFi market, where the technology has proven unique added value.

Knowing France being a being a relatively small market, they also also made contact with Eddie Cappleman - experienced in export and having more than 10 years of passionate experience in the field of development and production of loudspeakers & transducers. Eddie became soon convinced by the products and the technology incredible potential and joined them to develop the international market.

Passions & Skills then combined, bearing the fruit for a real success story.

With the initial patience and opinion of reputed audiophiles, electronics experts alike, leading to the meticulous selection of quality components, added together with hours and hours of listening, Stormaudio team developed its first range of products,the Vertigo V55 & V35 integrated amplifiers, released in mid February 2010.
